Inform7 is a free program that allows you to create works of interactive fiction (IF), also known as choose-your-own adventure games, but with so many other helpful, extensive, and easy-to-learn features. It also has its own, english-based coding language that you type with regular-sounding sentences.

Twinery

Twinery is similar to Inform 7 in that it also enables creation of works of interactive fiction. However, it does not involve much coding and instead has a simpler, user-friendly interface. You are also able to easily add css (coding language) to your game to make it look better!
